Shirley Neal is one multi-talented lady, her credits include Freelance Writing, Playwright, and Screenwriter and an award winning, Photographer.
Articles Published: East of the City, Toronto Sun, Uxbridge Times Journal, Chicken Soup for the Soul and Travelon Travel Publication. She is a winner of the Writer’s Circle of Durham “Comedy Radio Broadcast” a semi-finalist in the “Wicked Words” writing contest.
Playwright: Shirley’s plays have received critical acclaim and have been performed at some of the major venues throughout Ontario. They include: Rendezvous at the Inn, Aggie’s Revenge, Saying Good-bye to Imogene and Hazel. Her work has been shown on stage and published with two productions in Uxbridge, Ontario, The Mom Project and Ah Men Project.
Screenplays: “Mother May I?” has been sold to That’s Rich Productions. Recently, a mini-screenplay to Phanta Media for one of their corporate clients.
Teaching: Travel Writing at Durham College and creative writing at The Clarington Older Adults Association. Every summer, she travels to Spain to teach Spanish Executives, conversational English.
Business Presentations: The Marketing and Promotional field, creating presentations for ad campaigns. Shirley has designed newsletters for various organizations to be informative and humourous enough so the next edition would be anticipated.
Photography: Weddings, Travel photography, fine art. Her work has been showcased at the Veni Vidi Gallery, Magic Door Gallery and in several juried art shows, earning her accolades and awards. Shirley travels
extensively and delights in showing pictures of other cultures so that we all may learn a different point of view.
Preserving precious moments is so important, whether it is a wedding, christening, family reunion or graduation. Not just pictures, but books filled with memories of your life.
